Mui Ne Presentation
Mui Ne is the name of a coastal strip of resorts and hotels in Vietnam.
Mui Ne was originally the name of a the fishing village located about 20 km to the north of Phan Thiet city and about 200 km north of Ho Chi Minh City.
Mui Ne is now more popular for its wind and beach that attracts kitesurfers and windsurfers from all over the world. The climate in Mui Ne is great all along the year with an average temperature of 27⁰C. Don't be afraid of the “rainy” season, even if it might rain someday, the sun is dominant most of the time.
Mui Ne's first resort was Coco Beach Resort, it was opened in 1995 in the middle of Phan Thiet city and Mui Ne village. At that time, the road to Mui Ne village was still a sandy road...
Since then resorts, hotels, guest-houses, restaurants, water-sport clubs, shops and villas compound have been popping out like mushrooms. They are now occupying most of the lands in between Mui Ne and Phan Thiet on both side of the main road; Nguyen Dinh Chieu.
Mui Ne has now more than 100 hotels and resorts and maybe twice more restaurants and bars.
Mui Ne is made out of a thin strip in between the sea and a sandy hill. As a result, everything is happening on this unique road that separates the strip into “beach side” and “road side”. The “Beach side” is of course more seducing with the sea view and the nice hotels. If you travel on budget, you will find some very good deal on the “road side”, then you will always find a way to enjoy the beach.
